Family Maternity Shoot

Our latest maternity shoot, was something I hadn’t done before. Not only did we have the Dad in the photos, but we had the eldest sister too! I say eldest, which she was, but she was only 2, so I had to work with the poses she created!

After running around her Mums legs a bit, which I managed to get some interesting one of, I got the Dad into the picture too and she settled for some nice family poses.

We even got a few nice Mother and Daughter shots!

Once we had that in the bag, we moved on to some dedicated Mum and Bump photos!

With each session I do, I like to try some different photo setups to create some variation on the standard look. This time was no exception. We had a new lighting setup to play with as well as a new purple wrap!

One of the setups I’d wanted to try was a silhouette but with a colour gel. This was the result.

Next, was the new wrap, I wanted to try the floating wrap, but also a standing wrapped pose. I added some blur to both images to make them ‘floaty’ but also added a background to the standing one.

I really liked the results.

Pretty much the last shoot I took was this one, which is one of my favourites from the session.

The family enjoyed session and loved the results. I look forward to seeing them again in a few weeks for their newborn shoot.
